Chris Steele

Chris Steele began his journey in the auction industry in 2002, working as a groundsman and ringman before officially earning his auctioneer license in 2023. He is actively involved in real estate and personal property auctions with Blackwell Realty and Auction and also serves as a sales representative for Tristar Auction Group, where he assists with client relations, marketing preparation, and equipment asset promotion. In addition to his auction career, Chris is co-owner of Southern Family Properties LLC, a residential and commercial real estate investment company, and owner of Steele Enterprise Inc., a construction company supporting real estate development. In December 2025, he earned both his AARE accreditation and the Professional Valuation Specialist designation, reinforcing his commitment to accurate asset valuation and professional excellence. Guided by integrity, faith, transparency, stewardship, and a strong work ethic, Chris is known as dependable, hardworking, compassionate, family-oriented, and friendly. Through acceptance into the Certified Auctioneers Institute, he seeks to deepen his industry knowledge, learn from leading professionals, expand his national network, and further enhance his ability to strategically market and maximize value for his clients’ assets while preparing to serve and mentor within the auction profession for years to come.

Mike Mohr

Mike Mohr has been a familiar face in Middle Tennessee real estate since 2008, building a reputation on honest advice, hard work, and genuinely caring about the people he works with. Over the years, he's guided buyers and sellers through all kinds of markets — and that experience shows in the steady, confident way he approaches every transaction.
In 2023, Mike added a new dimension to his work by graduating from Nashville Auction School and the Professional Ringman Institute, bringing real auction expertise to the Blackwell Realty & Auction team. He's currently enrolled in the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) — the most respected professional development program in the auction industry — and will earn his CAI designation in 2027.

Shelby Clayborn
Shelby Clayborn is a licensed Auctioneer and Realtor with Blackwell Realty & Auction, specializing in the sale of residential and commercial real estate through the auction method. A graduate of Cumberland University, Shelby is actively involved in both the National Auction Association and the Tennessee Auctioneers Association. She is currently enrolled in the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) and is on track to earn her designation in 2027 — one of the most respected credentials in the auction industry.
Shelby is also a competitive auctioneer and enjoys traveling to conduct benefit auctions, but her primary focus is helping property owners sell real estate with clarity, confidence, and results. One of her most memorable auctions resulted in a property selling $87,000 above the reserve price for a deserving client — a moment that reinforced her belief in the power of competitive bidding done right.

As a first-generation auctioneer, I carry a deep sense of pride in creating a legacy for my family while helping other families through some of life’s biggest transitions.
To me, auctions are about so much more than bids and gavels. They’re about stories. They’re about honoring a lifetime of hard work, celebrating new beginnings, and making the process simple and stress-free for the people who trust me during important moments.
When I’m not behind the microphone, I’m at home soaking up life with my husband and our sweet babies. Being a wife and mom is my greatest joy, and it’s what keeps me grounded. Family means everything to me — and that’s exactly how I treat my clients.

Josh began his Auction career hanging around the farm auctions in Middleton Tennessee. Buying and selling a little bit of everything from tobacco sticks, combines, and everything in between. Attending the Texas Auction Academy in 2015, He continued his pursuit as a “full-fledged Auctioneer“. Through that exposure at the Texas Auction Academy, Joshua was able to learn the trade and be exposed to excellent people and resources that drastically elevated his career far beyond the boundaries of Middle Tennessee. He has been a part of Auction operations from California, Las Vegas, Connecticut, Tennessee, and everywhere in between. His second favorite thing about auctions is the ability to help people. And his most favorite thing is the ability to help people that cannot help themselves, and that is where he finds himself mostly is benefit Auctions. Having the Ability to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars just beyond the tip of the microphone for the people that need it is the greatest gift he can receive and cannot be replicated in any other fashion. Living just across the Wilson County line, he has five children and his beautiful wife, Brianna.
When Josh is not conducting an Auction, he is a full-time realtor. And in his spare time, you guessed it, he’ll go to an auction and try to pick up a thing or two.
